INTERDISCIPLINARY SEMINAR "STRUCTURE AND EVOLUTION OF COMPLEX SYSTEMS WITH APPLICATIONS IN PHYSICS AND LIFE SCIENCES"

INTERDISCIPLINARY SEMINAR "STRUCTURE AND EVOLUTION OF COMPLEX SYSTEMS WITH APPLICATIONS IN PHYSICS AND LIFE SCIENCES"

The seminar is organized within the FP7 EU IRSES project N269139 'STREVCOMS' with a primary goal to discuss and disseminate new results obtained in the framework of the project. The aim of the project is to make a major step-change in developing novel effective tools for studying complex systems based on stochastic geometry and stochastic evolution methods, on appropriate methods of analysis and combinatorics, as well as on numerical methods and computer simulations. The network of partner organizations of the project includes: Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (Lublin, Poland), Bergen University (Norway), Bielefeld University (Germany), University of Helsinki (Finland), Ort Braude College (Israel), M.P. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University (Kyiv, Ukraine), Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Lviv, Ukraine), Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil), Pontific Catholic University of Chili (Chili). In the framework of STREVCOMS activities in the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations of National Dragomanov University was organized a special research seminar devoted to open problems in fractal analysis and its applications (head of the seminar – Prof. Dr. G.Torbin). There were more than 20 talks on this seminar yearly, in 2014-2017. The seminar aims to serve as a meeting place between the project participants and wider academic community. It is hosted in turn in different  partner organizations as shown in the schedule below. Seminar participants are welcome to send their suggestions to the local project coordinators.
