Solemn ceremony of Doctor Honoris Causa diploma awarding

The diploma Doctor Honoris Causa of the Institute for Condensed Matter Physics will be presented to Oleg Lavrentovich (Kent, USA) on Wednesday, 11.07.2012 during a solemn ceremony that will take place in the ICMP Conference hall (1 Svientsitskii Str.) at 3 p.m.

Dr. Lavrentovich will give a lecture: Colloidal particles in liquid crystals.

This degree is awarded to Dr. Lavrentovich by the decision of the ICMP Scientific Council for the outstanding contribution to understanding of the liquid crystalline state of matter and the impact of his scientific and pedagogical activities on the image of Ukrainian science in the world.
