Brief info: 

Born on 26 May 1960 in Ternopil region. He graduated from Physics Department of Ivan Franko Lviv State University in 1982 and got his Ph.D. degree in 1988 and his degree of Doctor of Sciences in 2000. Igor Mryglod became corresponding member of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. for specialization “Soft matter physics, statistical physics” in May 2006. He is the Head of Department for Quantum Statistical Theory of Catalytic Processes since 2002, and is rewarded with the S. Pekar Prize of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. (2003). Igor Mryglod is also awarded by the honorary diploma of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine (2004) and by the insignia "For scientific achievements" of the Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. (2008). He is the author of more than 300 scientific papers published in Ukranian and international journals. He holds the post of Director of the ICMP of Ukr. Nat. Acad. Sci. since May 2006.
